Reflection on Human Resources BUS 303 Instructor’s Name Date Human Resources "Leadership is the activity of influencing people to cooperate toward some goal which they come to find desirable over the long haul."Neal Kocurek, CEO, St. David's Health Care System, Human Resources Management (HR) is the cornerstone in the Art of business. To manage the most valuable asset in one’s company can ultimately make or break the success of a company or organization. To meet goals and objectives in an organization leadership and management need strong HR departments to develop and maintain planning and recruitment of quality employees, benefits and compensation to keep a positive and productive work environment, and to meet the overall objective of the company to achieve the big picture. I will be discussing the important of a HR department in the areas of employee recruitment, benefits and how both of these area lead to meeting the overall objective of any company’s goals for success. Employees are a valued asset to every company. The ability to recruit quality people is imperative to the success of a company. HR has many function and responsibilities to include heading employee recruitment for quality candidates for employment. Let’s move forward and look at the area of recruitment in an HR department. HR Employee Recruitment When look thinking of employee recruitment for a company you automatically think of the application, interview and resume, however there is so much more that goes into the process of recruiting quality candidates for employment. According to Youssef, C. (2012) Job analysis and job design are critical for the success of subsequent HRM stages. In job design, HR managers identify organizational goals and objectives and translate them into relevant tasks and responsibilities, which are then grouped into roles and job positions.
