The main reason speeding is illegal is because it puts people In danger. I was a fool to go over the speed limit. One minor mistake could have ended someone's life, or my own.  Not only does it affect me, but it affects everyone on the road. Speeding is a selfish act that has No positive outcome. When drivers speed it effects every one on the road  I'm glad that when I was speeding nothing happened I could not live with myself if something bad happened and I am positive it will never happen again. A large present of accidents are caused because of speeding. Driving as it is , is dangerous and speeding just increases the chances of a crash. I'm thankfull that I could write this essay because otherwise I would have lost a lot of money also my payment for insurance would rise . People don't understand that driving recklessly no matter what your late for or what you have to do is not worth the time. Another dangerous thing about speeding is its a lot harder to avoid accidents and also it's harder to slow down if the person in front of you presses on the brakes There are many forms of reckless driving other than speeding. Driving in and of itself is unsafe in its nature. The only thing keeping you connected to the ground is just four small patches of rubber. That is exactly why we should not take more risks while driving. Sure it may seem like you have layer of steel protecting you, but when you look at it, there is really not a lot between you and the ground when your going 50 miles an hour. The hazards of not following the rules of the road can be devastating. Not only can unsafe driving cause you to get a ticket and points against your license but it can also cause serious injury and sadly death in some cases.most accidents are preventable by doing a few small things to insure your safety.
