The mother was killed, and Peter tracked down the little girl. Fearful the girl would escape and alert the king's men before the banishing ritual could be completed; he killed the girl remorselessly in the Storage rooms. Almost immediately the sight of her lifeless body crippled his psyche. Even manipulated by DaFheg he knew the girl didn't deserve to die and begged for forgiveness, filled with guilt and disgust at his actions. Peter was on the verge of insanity, realizing what he was doing, and what had become of him.
The Coward Oedipus Is “A coward is much more exposed to quarrels than a man of spirit”. This quote by Thomas Jefferson portrays Oedipus because throughout ‘Oedipus Rex’ he quarrels with everybody about he truth and becomes blind to it. By blinding himself Oedipus becomes a coward because he doesn’t want to face his crimes. It all started when Oedipus hears a dreadful prophecy that he will murder his father and sleep with his mother. He leaves Corinth and travels to Thebes, and on the way he unknowingly kills his father during a quarrel.

After this feat Caesar went back to Rome. When Caesar was a young man, he went to the island of Rhodes to learn oratory. While on his way to the island, he was captured by pirates and the pirates demanded a ransom of gold in order for Caesar to live. “When messengers were sent for the money, Caesar promised himself that he would hang his captors someday. When he was released he collected a naval force then found the pirates, and killed them(Bruns 23-34).” This ordeal shows that Caesar had a lot of influence for a private citizen holding no power in a political office.
In addition, in 3.1 Romeo murdered Tybalt to avenge the death of Mercutio by saying “Either thou or I, or both, must go with him.” (3.1. line 129). This implies that Romeo held a grudge against Tybalt for killing his own friend. This grudge motivated Romeo to kill Tybalt which then motivated Paris to fight Romeo in 5.3. This cycle of hatred between the two families is also what caused the fight scene in 1.1 where the Capulets and Montagues saw each other, then spat rude comments at each other

Jack had evil intents to hurt the other tribe with the conch shell. Jack and his hunters have already brutally beaten and killed Simon because they thought he was the monster in the woods. Jack had attacked Ralph’s tribe several times. Piggy did everything he could to help them stay together but when Jack made his offer the other’s followed him. After being attacked by Jacks tribe they went to Castle Rock to find Jack and his tribe right before Piggy was killed.
Next, the threats Tybalt sends Romeo also lead up to the suicides and the cause of death. Tybalt approaches Romeo and tries to start a fight by saying, “Romeo the love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain” (119). The constant threats Tybalt sends Romeo endanger his own family. Romeo was told if a family member of his or himself gets in Tybalt swore to himself that he would seek revenge on Romeo for crashing the party. Tybalt’s threats eventually become a full out issue for Romeo.
Along with Piggy’s death is the destruction of the conch. This symbolized that law and order has ended. Roger’s actions further proved to the readers that he has become a savage. After Piggy’s death, Jack forces Samneric to join his tribe. Roger tortured them until they finally gave in.
In despair his mother kills herself and Oedipus rips out his own eyes. Antigone is the story about Oedipus’ children and the superstition that follows this cursed family line. Creon is the brother of Oedipus, so he is more frightened from the superstitions that follow his brothers’ family line than anyone else. The act that triggers this fear, which sets forth the destruction of not only Antigone but his own family as well, is the murder of Antigone’s brothers. This instills fear in Creon because he fears that the sins from the father (Oedipus) will carry over to the children and in turn hurt his newly received kingdom and family.
