“MY REFLECTION TO SLP”
Helping other people makes me feel happy a lot. It makes me feel worth of myself because I see that I am useful, especially in my community.
This activity had helped me to take the advantage of meeting other people, explore places, and be trained to serve the community in the best that I can. This kind of activities makes me fulfilling, and duties like these are the one I enjoy most. Sharing of talents & skills that we have acquired & develop and the knowledge that we have learned makes it more worthy. At least we know that studying this subject has several advantages.
Seeing the children’s faces happy with what we did, we can say that they were satisfied. We taught them the basics of Basketball, the drills that we were doing every Monday were performed, & the warm-up routines & exercises that we did every morning of P.E. class were also taught to them. It was fun because teaching others with all that we have learned in the University, made us felt that our professor’s duties are not easy. We felt what he was feeling while handling our class. It was the same feeling while we were teaching the children. I realized that it is difficult to handle 40 students in a class.
It was a great experience to be in his class because of his different way of teaching. This had been a challenge for me because personally, I don’t like basketball as my P.E. 4, instead I am wishing for Volleyball. But after all, I have learned so much. This had been a memorable class because we were taking our class outside and it is our professor’s strategy on how he would teach basketball to his students in such environment. Despite the factors of taking a class outside the classroom, with all people looking and cars coming, the learning was all worth it. And it went okay because we had a successful activity outside the school.
