The profitability of the slave trade was enormous for any job involved especially people like merchants, bankers and financiers who were very keen to invest in the development of plantations, purchase of slaves and in the building of ships to carry the slaves and goods since they made such huge profits on their original investment. But also the plantation owners who did not have to pay for the labour as the slaves obviously were forced to work with no pay could profit from this. Of course, the slaves, however, did not profit from this at all. At this time there was a need for a labour force to work the lucrative plantations and so this was the basis on which the slave trade was formed.

Working conditions were harsh for the American industrial worker in the 1800s. With the boom of the Second Industrial Revolution and the need to expand business to meet consumer demands, employment opportunities opened at a rapid rate. In order to maximize profits, however, workers were given very few luxuries. Most factories had deplorable working conditions and were unsafe. Many workers lost hearing from loud machinery, lost limbs in hazardous equipment, and even lost their life due to the apathy of factory owners.

There were so many hardships that they had to go through such as: working conditions, unjust businessmen/wages, and poverty/starvation. “So America was a place of which lovers and young people dreamed. If one could only manage to get the price of passage, he could count his troubles at an end.” (Pg. 27) Most of the immigrants are tricked into the beliefs that they can find steady work, high wages, and a comfortable life in America.
As you can see, reform movements created a big impact on America. Reform Movements created our rights for how we live today. Whether the outcome was bad or good we still received justice. Reformers went through a great deal of trouble and tried their best to change for better. They helped many underprivileged people to gain there god given rights.
Food shortages were a key problem in Russia as it meant the people were starving and desperate. It has consistently been a problem to the rulers of Russia such as the Provisional government. The people wanted change but they also wanted grain to feed themselves and their family. It was important that the food crisis would be solved by the Bolsheviks in order to gain the support of the people; however, due to Russia’s poor transport and little fertile land, it was simply an impossible job for any party or rulers of Russia especially due to the high demand of the huge populace. The demand for food has always been high in Russia which meant that no matter what reforms or radical changes a party can bring in, if they can’t feed the people there will always be bitterness which can and did result in opposition to Lenin and his Bolsheviks.
Industrialization had a major impact on American society. It was a time of growth and expansion for the nation as a whole as it brought about new ideas and resistance to reformation. In many ways industry was helpful to America’s economy, but it was also a hindrance for the vast majority of the population. People like Sam Patch, otherwise known as the working poor, did not have much opportunity to advance in society, so as time passes there’s more resistance and protest to letting the rich get richer. The messages sent from the famous jumps of Sam Patch were the beginning of a new of democracy, and a fulfillment to the true meaning of the word equality.
The American Industrial Revolution changed many lives of many American during the 1800’s and early 1900’s. She was becoming one of the most important industrial nations during this period through aggressive political negotiations, economical and military power. Americans were discovering better ways of manufacture of goods, making transportation more reliable and creating communication more accessible to the general public. The population began to grow at a rapid rate and technological advances promoted the growth of industries in rural areas throughout the US. New technologies allowed business owners to reduce labor and the hours in the movement of materials from one point to the other.
