Abstract: In this report open and closed processing spaces are explained in detail along with comparing both of them. In any laboratory there are rules and guidelines that must be complied with in order to keep on track with following these rules. The type of processing space that is used varies depending on the products that will be made in these spaces. Sterility is a major part of these processing spaces as the product that is being made needs to be kept in the correct guidelines to prevent contamination. Closed processing spaces are more common in large pharmaceutical facilities as their products have a need to be kept sterile at all times and therefore they use closed spaces over open spaces.
