Rain, Rain, Go Away! I will always remember the day that I went to the zoo in the rain. It was my first time going to the zoo. I was very excited because I had heard many good things about the zoo. That thought would all change though in one day. The morning was a typical morning at my house. Mom was making breakfast while dad was reading the daily paper. We were all looking forward to going to the zoo that day. My baby sister was probably the most excited out of all of us. We enjoyed a very good breakfast that included eggs, bacon, and toast. After we finished eating, we got into our car heading for the L.A. Zoo. It was a long trip for me at the time because I got bored very easily then. The smell of the fresh air from Griffith Park felt very good. Griffith Park is right near the L.A. Zoo which is pretty cool. The weather was sunny, not to hot or cold. My family picked this day to take me along with my sister because the weather was supposed to be gorgeous. I have learned now though to not always believe the weather people on the news. Mom waited in the long line to purchase our tickets. The man whom we bought the tickets from gave us a map to the zoo. All was good so far in terms of weather. We saw an alligator first, which was really scary for me because of his razor sharp teeth. Those teeth could probably cut through just about anything. Then we moved to the sea lion otter exhibition. The trainer was feeding the sea lion when we got there. The sea lion was feed little fish. All of a sudden I felt a drop of water on my hair. I said to myself “Oh No! This cannot be happening today”. I wanted this day to be perfect, especially for being my first time at the zoo. My family and I kept on walking hoping that the light drizzle would go away. Unfortunately, it did not go away at all.
