John C. Hayes Langston University UE 5203 Spring 2012 Race To Nowhere Race To Nowhere is an independent film about the pressures on today's students, offering a close view of lives packed with activities, leaving hardly any room for free time or family time. Race to Nowhere is a documentary made by a Palo Alto attorney/mom turned film maker, Vicki Abeles, who began to ask questions about our culture’s educational practices and priorities after a teenage girl in her community killed herself after getting a near failing grade in school.
