Whether it’s building lifelong friendships, studying for good grades, or saving towards your first car or cell phone; you’re still working toward what you want and need in order to be happy and get through life. Building lifelong friendships requires a lot of emotional work. It requires you to have patience, be honest, and the will to work with one another. You have to be open-minded and have good communication skills. Being open-minded gives you the will to understand the other person’s outlook on things, whether it’s kids or school, everyone doesn’t have the same perspective as you. Having good communication skills is needed to build friendships because you may not like when your roommate does something but they won’t know if you don’t have communication skills. When you want certain things in life you have to work for it. Whether it’s a car or a new cell phone that just came out it requires physical work. In life you have to realize that things won’t get handed to you on a silver platter. Getting a job could be the best way for you to get what you want. The job requires you to work and save your money in order to get it. You may be physically tired, but in the end you’ll have what you were saving and working hard for. On another hand, school is something that requires both physical and emotional work. Studying for a test can cause stress, but in order to get good grades you have to put in the work it requires. You might be up all night studying and feel like you’ll never get it but if you push forward and keep going in the end you’ll end up with the grade you wanted and you will end up proud of yourself.
