Alex Brossart 2/26/14 English When people consider what school they should go to public or private they never consider the subcategories of these two schools such as the artistic schools or the religious schools or the technical or lastly the Montessori. I am Alex Brossart a student at Wake Tech and I am going to be describing the difference between Public and Private schools. Although public and private schools may seem the same, they are actually quite different when you consider the many different options they bring to the table such as teaching style, funding and, free will in terms of classes taken. The most significant difference between public and private schools is the teaching style of the teachers there. For example, in public schools, there are far more students per class and these causes the teacher to not manage to spend as much time with individual students during class time. If a student needs one on one time the best way for them to make it is by scheduling in time to see them are after class or during their office hours. When you consider the how the teacher is reviewed by not only their boss but also the county school board and the state department of education and lastly the federal department of education who rigidly studies the teachers. For private schools, they have less students per class so the teachers can focus more on the individual, bear in mind though that no school, teacher, or teaching style has the time for all students at once. When you consider who is the boss and the command structure only the federal government and some nonprofit and/or for profit organizations watch them to see if they break any federal laws and/or follow the organization rules and since they are not bound by lower governments rules or laws. This means that the only one they have to worry about is their boss(es) and parents of the students
