I. “For me, music making is the most joyful activity possible, the most perfect expression of any emotion.” These were the words of one of the world’s greatest operatic tenor; Luciano Pavarotti, who also crossed over into popular music, eventually becoming one of the most commercially successful tenors of all time. He made numerous recordings of complete operas and individual arias, and became one of the finest tenors of the 20th century, also sing his fame to help raise awareness about social issues and help children.
II. Today I will discuss with you the life of Luciano Pavarotti, his career as an operatic tenor, his many humanitarian efforts to help children and victims of tragedies, and his untimely death.
III. Most of the information that I will be presenting to you, I have learned from reading Mr. Luciano Pavarotti’s biography titled, “My World”. I have also gathered valuable information from Luciano Pavarotti’s website, which can be accessed at Lucianopavarotti.com, and I have read news paper articles from artists and people who had the privilege of knowing him as a singer and as a person. For this speech I have used bits and pieces from other internet sources and e-books.
IV. Today we will learn about the early life of Luciano Pavarotti. The childhood and dreams of Luciano, his musical formation and his early career as a singer.
I. Before anything else, I would like to speak about Luciano Pavarotti’s early years, dreams and training as a singer.
A. Luciano Pavarotti was born on October 12th 1935 on the outskirts of Modena in the northern region of Emilia Romagna, Italy.
