We all think differently and I’m here to show you and try to convince you to see the other side. To see why public humiliation is wrong and shouldn’t be done. Everybody has their opinions. But sometimes we all need to look at things from the other perspective. Recently, a cellphone video of a passenger scolding a guard at the Light Railway Transit (LRT) Santolan station went viral on Facebook , getting more than 68,000 shares and 17,000 comments, and aired on TV networks. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bw8r4PlQpuw)The hashtag #AMALAYER, which came from the passenger's pronunciation of "I'm a liar," even trended on Twitter, both worldwide and in the Philippines. Now the girl in the video experiences this so called public humiliation, most people mock her, throwing bad words at her, and other kinds of cyber bullying was done at her. The fact of her being wrong, I think leaking the video is not a right thing to do. I don’t think that public humiliation should be used as a form of punishment. If you are punishing and humiliating criminals and people who commits mistakes in the public, you will satisfy all types of people who enjoy sadistic performances, all that we had in medieval times where public punishments were celebrated like a happy festival. Everybody can imagine which type of people would enjoy such a public celebration and a society does not become more peaceful but more aggressive. All the more human are inclined to become evil and an unforgiving individuals. They don’t even realize that those people also are human who does commit mistake and a human who has a heart of feelings. Punishment is a form of learning a lesson from the wrong that you have done. Jail is a place to think things over, to understand your wrong doings. Punishment for a child is sticking them in the corner, so they can think about what they did and realize not to do it again, and
