Psychology and Understanding Human Behavior Colorado Technical University Professor Sarah Pickens PSYC 120-29 Phase 1 Individual Project By Tommy Nichols November 21, 2011 Psychology and Understanding Human Behavior The person that I have chosen was not on the list and I will refer to her as Ms. X. Ms. X is a very strong willed person; she was born to Mr. and Mrs. X, the third child of nine brothers and sisters. She was brought up in a very religious family who go to church up to two –three times a week. She was home coming queen of her high school. Ms. X married and had several miscarriages before giving birth to her daughter in December 10, 1979. After giving birth was one of the best times in her life. When her daughter turned 10 she was diagnose with a brain tumor. Which meant her daughter would have to under a very serious surgery, and the Dr.’s weren't able to say if her daughter would survive. Ms. X had just miscarriage six months before her daughter diagnose. It was a strenuous battle for Ms. X to work full time and be at the hospital at the same time. After daughter was in the hospital for over six months, she was being discharge back home into Ms. Care. Once Ms. X had her daughter home she had to potty train her all over again as well as teach her how to walk, stand, and be independent, for example putting on her own clothing. Once these things were in place Ms. X
