Motivation Evaluation XXXXXXXX PSY/210 4 June 2011 Shon Denton Motivation Evaluation I am writing about Hillary Clinton and her decision to stay married to Bill Clinton after the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Hilary Clinton is currently serving as the 67th United States Secretary of State. Prior to her current position she was the Senator for the state of New York from 2001 to 2009. Before Hillary Clinton was the Secretary of State or a Senator, she was the First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Hillary Clinton has always been a highly motivated and powerful woman; she even ran for president in 2008 and although she did not win, she did very well in the polls. Hillary Clinton graduated from Yale and won numerous awards for her grades and skills as a lawyer. It was at Yale that Hillary Rodham met Bill Clinton. The two dated for a while and Bill Clinton asked Hillary to marry him multiple times before she actually agreed. Once Hillary and Bill married, Hillary opted to keep her maiden name because she felt it gave her independence in her own career. It wasn’t until Bill Clinton was elected President that Hillary agreed to go by the legal name of Hillary Rodham Clinton. While Bill Clinton was President, allegations came out of multiple instances of sexual misconduct. One case in particular, the Monica Lewinsky case, became quite famous and led to the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Originally, the President denied any sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky on a nationally televised conference, but later, the truth came out. Publicly, Hillary Clinton stayed devoted to her husband through all the drama and media coverage. Many people questioned why Hillary would continue to support her husband through this type of embarrassing and hurtful behavior. One thought process was that she stayed
