Why have you chosen this study program? My chosen study program is that of Bachelor of Science specifically majoring in Physics and Geography. The interest in studying this program developed when I initially became interested in mathematics, physics and geography. It intrigued me to solve and analyze problems that were related to real life situations. My admiration in both complex and simple designs was what provoked me in pursuing a career in engineering. I was also motivated by the climates and weather on how it changes the world and the living conditions, which underline the importance of how modern life should be like by the benefits studying them. I am also interested in improving our living conditions and thus the study climatology or meteorology engineering provides me with the opportunity. How will the proposed study contribute to your career development? The proposed study will contribute to my future career development by providing a broad weather and climate engineering education in terms of educating me with the relevant skills and knowledge to be successful as professionals within organizations or industries. My intention is to work in a government organization or department and put the relevant skills and knowledge that I have gained from my studies into practice. This would involve supporting climate change development in Vanuatu by designing more efficient structures; solve problems that contribute to the country’s economy in terms of weather and climate. My main goal for this carrier is to educate people on the environmental issues and search for new initiatives on protecting the environment for a better Vanuatu in the Future.
