Negative externalities occur when social costs are more than a private cost. Governments may usually intervene when negative externalities arise, this is to tax demerit goods, which are goods that have negative externalities and are over produced in an economy. However, the government may find other solutions much more useful, for example; they find it more effective to subsidise merit goods, goods giving out positive externalities and also provide more information about the effects of demerit goods to discourage them. If markets were over producing demerit goods, those selling those goods such as firms would be taxed, so raw materials for the goods may be more expensive or possibly the machinery. This would increase the costs and result in the firms passing on the costs to the consumers, this would increase the prices of the goods causing negative externalities and discourage them from being bought.
It is very important to make the public aware of the new bill passed and the new doubled prison terms if convicted of armed robbery. If the bill were passed there would be the issue of financial responsibilities, which the innocent public would be responsible for. Doubling a prison term could be costly and one solution would be to seek some funding through fundraisers and grants from the state. The bill would costs the citizens but it would keep them at ease and at peace knowing that almost anyone would be discouraged of committing such a crime. We hope that this bill would have an impact on the would be criminals because not only would their sentence be longer but their chances at parole would be harder to
“While the Industrial Revolution had both positive and negative effects on society and the economy, the positive effects outweighed the negative.” The Industrial Revolution came to organize and provide much more benefits than harm in many ways and while change overall has both positive and negative effects the positives definitely outweighed the negative. Before the industrial revolution everything was much harder. Let’s take a look at various aspects that found to have more good than bad. Although one may view the fencing of the land owned by villagers and townspeople as an abuse, the reality was that at the time it was something needed. This had a much more positive effect because while the villagers lost land the enclosure resulted in efficient farming that produced more food.
Aid can become an obstacle to development because of the tied nature of much aid, which benefits the donor country more than the recipient, in economic terms. Tied aid is bilateral aid in which the donor country specifies conditions relating to the way the money is spent. This often involved spending money on goods and services from the donor country. Aid is also an obstacle to development because of the frequently inappropriate use of aid on large capital intensive projects which may actually worsen the conditions of the poorest people. The strengthening of political ties as a result of bilateral aid may increase dependency and hinder democracy in the recipient country.
Without prior market penetration of an organization’s competetitors, the usefulness and effectiveness of properly marketing a new product or service can be quite burdensome. This is due to the fact that an organization runs a major risk of constantly striving to maintain its customer base, as the new type of product or service has not yet been introduced into the maintstream. Additionally, pricing may be an issue based upon: Should pricing be very low to attract new buyers?, or Should pricing be set high to offset initial entry into a new marketplace? These are the questions that an organization must face, but for the most part, being a
However there were some areas that could be edited to make the article a bit better. In certain sections of the article there are large jumps in time, which leave gaps of information that the reader is almost expected to fill in. If the article where to somewhat sum up the events in these gaps the overall picture becomes much clearer. Another way that the article could be revised is by having some of the unanswered answered, like the details of the trial against the land owners of the Eastmoor housing district. There are some other minor changes that could be made to the article but other than these, the article is fine.
Reasons for growth in the State Prison system part of the over population in prison has been merited to the changes in sentencing practices. The sentencing practices are part of the harsh constraints on judges and parole individuals, there are required to examine each individual case and their own special circumstances. 1980 was the large increase in incarceration; some say is based on the war on drugs and trafficking of illegal drugs to the United States. Poverty Poverty has many ways of dealing with the prison growth, there are more crime related issues than there are work, people try to get money easy and get themselves into a bigger hole. The profiling of people who have been incarcerated is one of the main reasons why most employers won’t hire an individual, therefore this people do not feel welcome in society and end up going back to prison, because they feel safer with food and

Like any form of legal service based business there are stipulations put in place by governments that must be followed to have public order. Legalized prostitution in many countries has rules and regulations that keep workers safe. These benefits actually reduce the amount of sex slave trade that countries receive by being regulated and inspected by the government. Secondary crimes like sexual violence become less prevalent because of availability of alternatives. Like the economic principle of “supply and demand” when supply is up demand is down.
Not only have countries been given the opportunity to exploit their comparative advantages but they can also change their comparative advantages using technology, this gives them the chance to move up the value chain, which improves the living standards of people in poverty and increases their income. However globalization has also had a negative affect on countries. It puts countries, poor countries in particular, in risk. “A housing loan crisis in the US eventually translates into rocketing youth unemployment in Spain. A banking crisis in Cyprus sends shares on the world’s stock exchanges lower.
