Everyone made fun of him except for his best friend named Rowdy. Rowdy protected Junior, and they had a bond that most people never find in life. When Junior decided to go to a high school off the rez, Rowdy was not for it, and their friendship was broken after Junior left the high school on the rez. When Junior first started out at Reardon, he was not physically being beat up, but the kids there used their words for weapons. He was bullied at both places.
He had a reputation for extreme violence and often carried a knife. A series of further criminal activities during his teenage years were often reprimanded by local police and courts. During middle school was when he was introduced to many illegal substances. He started hanging with the wrong crowd and was very much influenced by his peers. Middle school was also around the time when there started to be abuse within his family; between mother and stepfather to whom he called dad. Having abuse in his family; made him want to retaliate, not against his stepfather, but with the other kids at his school. Getting in trouble at school meant coming home to stepfather and getting punished.

One connection I made was both students wanted and got revenge on the group of popular students who bullied them. Bullying pushes people to their limits, Peter a quiet, shy boy was pushed into becoming a murder, who killed nineteen people. Peter shows how vengeful he was on page 99 where he said to the officer, “How many did I get?” The hook in Pumped up kicks shows who Robert targets are and his revenge. “All
Sam Jackson May 12, 2010 Period 01 Bowling for Columbine Growing up as a child I got bullied for all types of silly little things that I look back on now and laugh about. Even as I got older entering high school, this made me hate people but not enough to get guns and shoot up my school. I don’t really blame these two boys for what they did. I can’t judge them because I don’t know them. Yes, you obviously blame them because they are the ones that did the crime but when I actually look into it I blame the people that drove them to do this.
