When organising a business event, describe the range of support activities that may be required. When organising a business event some of the support activities that may be required include organising a venue, getting the appropriate equipment, arranging for speakers to attend, sorting out food and drink, preparing documentation, publicising the event and booking rooms and accommodation. The venue that is going to be used for the event may be on the premises of the business or may be an external venue. In either case the space being used must be available at the required times and booked in advance. It is important to check that the venue has the facilities required for the event. When organising a venue it is important to find cost-effective venues that will make it possible to deliver a high-quality event. Ensuring that appropriate equipment is booked and available for an event also helps deliver and high quality event. This includes equipment such as computers, screens for Power Point presentations, sound systems, stages and portable toilet.
