Unit 1. Assignment 1. Voice vs. Data Cell Phones Known as a mobile a phone it can make and receive telephone calls over a radio link while moving around a wide geographic area. Modern mobile phones support a wide variety of other services such as text messaging, email, internet access, Bluetooth, gaming and photography. Landline phones is a phone that uses a solid medium telephone line such as metal wire or fiber optic cable for transmission.
1.1 My telephone at work has several different features such as, make call, hold call, transfer call and loudspeaker. The make a call feature is so you can make an internal or external call, for internal calls you just type the number of the person you wish to call and for external calls you type a 9 first and then the number. The hold call feature is so that when you are on the phone to someone and you need them to wait whilst you find/do something, you just press the hold button to put them on hold and then press it again to talk to them. To transfer a call that comes to you incorrectly or if you think someone else would be a better person for them to talk to, you press the transfer call button and type the internal number of the person you are transferring them to. The loudspeaker function can be used if more than one person needs to listen to the call, press the button and the sound comes from the speaker instead of the receiver.
Cell Phones: Cell phones are both used for voice and data communications. A cell phone now can either make phone calls or browse the web. Cell phones can be used for almost anything now days. Landline Phones: A Landline phone will mainly be used for voice communications. Some landline phones may have caller ID.

Another way that people show tone is by using abbreviations like, “lol,” “haha,” “jk,” and many more. There are many different ways to show the way that the person texting is feeling, and they do so by doing some of the many ways. Hollering and texting are also very functional. The two types of communication are very good for their time periods that they are being used.
