If you use the visual style, you prefer using images, pictures, colors, and maps to organize information and communicate with others. You can easily visualize objects, plans and outcomes in your mind’s eye. You also have good sense, which gives you a good spatial sense of direction Advanogy.com (2012). There’re a lot different characteristics that describe visual learners. Visual Learners are usually shy, and don’t enjoy getting too much attention, nor being in front of a crowd.
Through the aid of some online web sites and self-refection, I have set out to answer the question, what is my personal learning style? When discussing different types of learning styles most people think of VARK model, without knowing it, where there are generally three categories in which an individual might fall into; visual, auditory, and kinesthetic/tactile. Other models us a wider spread of categories of learning styles than just the typical three. Having more categories allow you to further specify which learning environment and teaching modes might be most advantageous to your personal learning. Majority of people will fall into more than one category, but may have a stronger inclination in one category over another.
First, there is the Visual Learning Style. The Visual Learner understands, and takes in information better when it is presented in picture format. If you give them directions in a text format the visual learner wont pick it up as quick as they would if there were pictures illustrating what the text is saying. Second is the Audio Learning Style, and just as the name suggests Audio Learners learn things a lot quicker when they hear, or have a chance to discuss what it is they are learning. Lastly, is my case of learning style, what I am going to discus in this essay.

This preference is for information displayed as words. One of my learning strategies that I already use from a learning style that is not one of my preferred is participate in study groups. I learn better by the teacher giving an example and doing it. My opinion is sometimes the students confuse you more. I am not an outgoing person and I like better to study by myself or with a teacher.

The basic three ways of learning, is audio, visual, and kinesthetic learning. Not everybody uses all three of these techniques. We all have our preferences, and that is what makes this topic so interesting. I wanted to learn and find out their reasons for choosing that certain learning style. We will also evaluate the rules of conditioning, reinforcement, and punishment throughout the learning process. We will describe how the memory is formed and analyze the relationship that the memory has with learning. Understanding the learning process and how it is stamped into the memory is paramount while attempting to learn or teach others.
