I believe that with the many technological advances that have been made throughout history computers have made life easier. I believe that computers have changed the world, as a lot of things can now be done through computers. A person can find a computer everywhere – at school, at work, and at home. A lot of a person’s daily activities either involve the use of or depend on information from a computer. It probably took them twice as long just to get things done. One of the biggest improvements in technology that helps the classroom would be the internet. Many times there is just not enough information from books and magazines, and students now can access all different kinds of information using the internet. Students can also create websites which will assist them and make the job of the teacher easier. This is fun for the students to do, and they can post short stories, poems, class homework, and many personally created activities.
The facilitators use slides for a more visual description of the topics that we are discussing. We have training onsite and online. We use simulation type of test for evaluation. New information is posted much more quickly than print resources, ensuring the most up-to-date information on any given subject. Another advantage of Wikipedia is easy access via the Internet. In today’s technology-laden world, access to an Internet connection is almost as common as restroom facilities. Providing students, researchers, and the public across the globe with a library that does not require a working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System provides more opportunity for learning, collaboration, and connectivity.
