Since depression lacks consistency, it’s difficult to track feelings down in a way that people can deal with them without help. Most people have trouble seeking help or are uncomfortable in telling a stranger their problems. Hence, why people now a days are eager to ask their doctor for a quick fix medication. Its usually best to just take time for one self to think, with out the pressures of everyday life. In this way depression can also work as “taking a break”, everyone needs a break sometimes.
Arthur may not be the best at managing others, which could make presentations or working on teams difficult. Arthur would not be the best choice to manage other workers, but he is an asset to the company because he has a positive attitude and likes his job. Arthur is a valued employee, and this positive state of mind could be good for morale. “Breaking down organizational goals into smaller more detailed task geared specifically toward the strength of an employee is an example of Management by Objection or the goal setting theory” (Pearson Education, Inc, 2011). As manager, I have decided that Arthur will serve the company well working in a position that does not require him to be in charge of any projects.
So this will onhly be effective if you are able to do it in the first place. Like say exercise is considered a good stress relief but lets be honest the thought of that might be a the cause of more stress to most right thinking peeps. Effective mangaging of staff and job roles. This should of without saying but its most often not the case. Treating workers like a number and not an indivual can have people being given roles and tasks unsuited to
That is not the case, most people need a reason that is satisfying to them to reach a higher level of performance. There are also people that are not interested nor do they need motivating factors, they are completely happy with just being given a task and performing that task and going home. Each person needs performance, rewards, satisfaction, or consequences to be induced to reach the next level. Stress can become a problem for most workers depending on their ability to handle it; each person has it capacity for stress. Working in a place that has a lot of stress either with co-workers or management will not inspire success, and it will eventually effect the organization financially.
Many people ‘forget’ to wash their hands after using the toilet or before handling foods; this can cause a great deal of illness and even death. By being well presented, clean and tidy, people can feel more confident, especially in social situations. Our chances of succeeding either in work or social settings, or even with the opposite sex can be altered by maintenance of good hygiene. Maintaining hygiene practices helps to reduce the risks of ill health, but equally important affects how we and others perceive ourselves and can influence our levels of confidence and self-esteem which can affect many aspects of our lives. 2.
Residents with a positive view of themselves, are more likely to work with us, speak out for themselves and tell us what they need to stay happy. In the situation where resident have low self-esteem which make them unhappy they will shut down and be less likely to help us find out what they need. Also when they not feeling important, they may decline food and that may cause further reaction of their wellbeing. When a resident feels good about themselves and they think very positively about themselves, their health tends to be overall better. Smiles relieve stress and tension and wellbeing has a lot to do with
Human example and influence are also very powerful and can corrupt the mind eager for recognition or that craves to feel wanted and accepted. The morals and values that this type of person has been taught are pushed to the back of his/her mind and become less important than the need to "fit in". Unfortunately for these people, any attention and recognition is sought after, even if it is negative. There is an obvious difference between those who are afflicted with no conscience at birth and those who have one. No amount of moral teaching or love and comfort will keep these people satisfied and happy to be "good".
There is a danger that efforts to develop person centred planning simply focus on having better meetings. Any planning without implementation leaves people feeling frustrated and cynical, which is often worse than not planning at all. Very often you will only be caring for and supporting people when they are in a vulnerable position. The quality of care that you can provide will be improved if you have knowledge of the whole person, not just the current circumstances: knowledge can help us for example to understand better why people behave in the way they do. A care plan, based on a person centred approach, will help in understanding some of this, but what else might help?
People who remain optimistic may have an improved quality of life while coping with their sensory loss and maintaining their social contacts. Also that people are do not understand sensory loss will ignore them because they may think they are not educated because of the loss, or they don’t know how to communicate so just ignore them. 1.4 The steps that could be taken to overcome disabling attitudes and beliefs are encouraging individuals with sensory loss to have an active social life, education regarding sensory loss, provide training courses. Outcome 2 2.1 Sight loss: Making things are bigger, bolder, and brighter. Gain the persons attention, Tell them who you are, touch them while speaking to them.
Employees who are happy and engaged are critical business performance. Unfortunately in today’s business world traditional total rewards programs don’t drive employee engagement or happiness any more. Innovative and creative benefits should provide employees with intangible rewards to satisfy the employee’s needs and desires. Satisfied employees are not only happier at work but their productivity is usually far greater than unsatisfied employees. Most organizations are smart enough to realize that it takes more than just money to motivate and make happy employees.
