Brown Sr. The paper that I am writing will be about one of the problems we have in the world is Atmospheric pollution. Atmospheric pollution is the introduction of chemicals, particulate matter that cause harm or discomfort to humans and living organisms in our atmosphere. There are many different ways that air pollution can be omitted into the air we breathe like pollution that comes from house cleaning products, older model cars, energy plants, and forests fire.
Power plants are the main resource for the burning of coal and oil. When they are burned it releases a substance called sulfur dioxide and can affect the environment including our live stock, plants, animals, the air that we breathe and our water sources. Recycling becomes more important on large scales. Used consumer goods are collected, converted back into raw materials and are remade into new consumer products. Examples of materials commonly recycled are, office paper, steel from old buildings, plastic containers and aluminum cans.
How is chemistry used in firefighting Chemistry is at the heart of combustion. Indeed, combustion - fire - is applied chemistry, chemistry in action. That's why some knowledge of chemistry is important in fighting fires. The firefighter employs strategy and tactics to contain and extinguish fires that are all directly or indirectly based on a knowledge of the chemistry of fire. The fire triangle, for example, is basic chemistry.
Combustion of organic compounds can result in detrimental impacts on the environment such as the generation of acids and production of carbon monoxide, particulates and soot. When organic compounds that contain sulphur, nitrogen are combusted, the reaction may produce gases such as sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and carbon dioxide. When these compounds react with water molecules, it will produce acids which fall as acid rain.Acids dissolve calcium carbonate, meaning that monuments made from marble and limestones are particularly vulnerable. In environmental terms, acid rain flows into water bodies. Acid rain releases aluminium from the soils into the water, an element which is highly toxic to many species of aquatic organisms.
It is very corrosive and causes severe burns. It is very harmful by skin contact or by inhalation of dust. This cocktail together is used for getting into the ground and then it contributes to global climate change creating air pollution. They argue that fracking harms the environment and can hurt other living species such as bird, and fish. All of this is true; however, natural gas is a cleaner burning fuel and it has other advantages.
Fuel combustion and automobile transportation are two large factors of air pollution. Both factors release a production of heat and chemicals into the atmosphere causing for an excessive amount of wasted heat. Furthermore, the problem of extra heat leads to the production of a number of harmful health issues and environmental scrutiny. Global warming, global community has long been a vocal advocate and critic of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Hundreds of disease oriented and professional health provider organizations have provided pollution, smog, and ozone layer damaging are all results of air pollution.

The former is considered a solid waste and the latter is a categorized as hazardous waste. Where do these wastes come from and what kind of effect do they have on the environment either when they are used or disposed of? Oil and natural gas are fossil fuels that emit their own waste once used. The effects of their use on the environment can be far reaching and detrimental to health of humans, animals, and other organisms that inhabit the earth.

Natural gas is contains mostly methane and is the safest form of energy that we can use daily. When animals and buried plants get exposed to heat natural gas is formed.
