With early intervention there are many services that parents can use relating to their child’s disabilities. Early intervention is for children from birth up until about kindergarten and it helps to prepare the family for the educational journey that they will face over the course of their life. There are not any weaknesses of early intervention. Early intervention is used to better the child and help build strengths where there are weaknesses. The strengths of early intervention are enhanced development, minimized developmental delays, and can decrease the need for special education in the future.
Devin Thomas MAT-144 April 22, 2015 VanDerLinden Project A-Mission Trip Education is the foundation children and young adults need to have a bright future. The goal of this mission trip would be to build better school with enough rooms so it isn’t crowded, desks, chairs, books, and white boards. The children in the 0-14 age group will be able to learn faster and retain more of what they learned because those years are the most vital years for learning. This mission will be held in Micronesia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, which are places with developed areas but also has a lot of undeveloped areas as well. The children will learn math skills as well as reading, writing, life and sports skills amongst other subjects.
(Jaruszewicz, 2012, s1.3) I feel that there are many benefits of having DAP in the classrooms. Our children would have a better comprehension and retention because the material is presented in a manner that is suited to their developmental stage. Children and adults can learn together. By following the child’s lead it takes us in a more interesting direction then having a standard curriculum. I also feel that by having DAP there are fewer struggles to get our children to engage in the program.
Those parents have to stay vigorously involved in schooling their kids. Surely the obligation to ensure our nation’s future must be shared also by those who don’t have children in the public schools. Those people who should take an interest in the students that will eventually be stepping into the workforce. They should be developing work-study groups, internships and job placement banks that they can recruit and develop to be successful. Evidently, the tasks of educating our children nowadays are a lot more difficult than simple examinations and easy solutions.
Gatto is saying that schooling is made for kids to adapt to; it has adaptive qualities, therefore there is a chance for everyone to succeed if they really want to, but it takes away from any individual thinking. Conforming is another evil of school because it makes us forced to learn things we really have no interest in and as Gatto states “its intention is to make children as alike as possible”(153). A lot of students use this excuse while they are in high school “when am I ever going to use this again in life” ill be honest I have said it before but I don't necessarily agree with these students because you need to build a base education before you figure out what you want your schooling to focus on. Kids change their minds everyday, I realized that I’m not quite sure I want to be an art major anymore, even being in the first couple of classes I knew it wasn’t for me
We have age limits and restriction on many things, but why does are education system expect these young kids to make the right choices, ask for help and develop good study habits on their own. Our education system needs a new approach to resolve these issues. Teachers and parents need to be held responsible, for how well these kids do in school. We need come up with a new plan so these students aren’t left lost and helpless. Flunking students can be used as a positive tool by our education system.

All the fun activities that you do with your child at home are important in supporting their learning and development, and have a really long lasting effect on your child’s learning as they progress through school. Even when your child is very young and is not yet able to talk, talking to them helps them to learn and understand new words and ideas. If you make the time every day to do some of the following things with your child it will make a real difference to your child’s confidence as a young
These skills will be very useful as children grow and develop in their personal and professional lives. Through divorce and a blended family, children can learn to be more self-reliant. Because of work schedules, school functions and extracurricular activities, parents my rely more on the children to take more responsibility for things around the house. There is also the potential to learn to do less with more. With prior financial obligations and the possibility of more children in the home, many blended families don’t have the financial freedom that a lot of natural families have.
I really like the idea of the author that there are two kinds of mind-set: fixed mind-set and growth mind-set. However, I don’t agree that it is only educators’ fault that some kids have fixed mind-set. I think that it all starts in the family, way before school. Parents think their kids are special and tell them that they can achieve everything they want. But parents often forget to mention that the key to success is hard work.
If these skills are not utilised correctly a positive relationship would be impossible to achieve. The principle of relationship building is how you communicate, the way you listen and respond. People are likely to feel comfortable in your company and communicate effectively. In a school situation this is vital for children of all ages. Children need lots of different types of communication consistently on a day to day basis to be able to learn boundaries, social skills and education, for example; Children rely on clear instructions to allow them to understand what is being asked of them, if information is not communicated correctly the child is unable to learn.
