Physics Lab Report Introduction - All People exert forces, but do we know how much force we exert? My hypothesis is that some people have already created a scale for themselves to determine the amount of force they exert and everyone has the ability to create this scale giving everyone the ability to estimate the amount of force they exert. I try to prove the first part my hypothesis by comparing two twins of about the same height and muscle mass' ability to sense the amount of force they are exerting on different objects. Then I get two people of very different muscle masses and heights to try and create a scale. My experiment works based on the idea that the force that people exert to keep mass suspended is equal to the weight force of the mass because of Newton’s Third Law (action reaction pairs). Experimental procedures - The first part my experiment was a comparison of two twin sisters of about equal height and muscle mass' ability to sense the amount of force they exert on an object. I had one twin in the room and made one wait outside so that she would not see the experiment before hand. The first twin was Emily Cantu. I had Emily carry eighty pounds of 20 lb. weights. I asked Emily to guess the amount of weight she was carrying, and she accurately guessed eighty pounds. I then gave Emily a single 40 lb. weight and asked her again to estimate the amount of weight she was carrying. She made a close estimate of 50 lb. The second twin was Micaela Cantu. I had Micaela carry eighty pounds of 20 lb. weights. I asked Micaela to guess the amount of weight she was carrying, and she inaccurately guessed 120 pounds. I then gave Micaela a single 40 lb. weight and asked her again to estimate the amount of weight she was carrying. She made an estimate of 80 lb. The second part of my experiment served to see if two people of different heights and muscle
