Physical fitness is exigent for the human body and is also closely connected with healthy living. Being physically fit does not mean being a body builder or a Victoria’s Secret model however; being physically fit does mean exercising regularly and eating healthy. Exercising for just 30 minutes per day provides the body with sociological, psychological, and physiological benefits; it also increases the body’s endurance and composition. One’s metabolism typically decreases with age, therefore; it is crucial to make time for physical exercise which is much easier to do if one gets creative and makes it enjoyable. Physical activity provides the body with sociological benefits by helping boost self-esteem and self-confidence. A lot of one’s physical activity is derived from family activities and/or sports of some sort. Children are far more active than adults due to school activities and sports that not only help get them involved with other kids, but make the physical activity enjoyable because it is more than a game to them than exercise. Adults gain the sociological benefits as well because most of the time they either work out in a public gym or a work related fitness area. A great physical and extreme sociological exercise is Zumba, which is a modern day physical activity hosted by individual people and is a very high paced, continuous movement dance workout for males and females. Aside from the sociological benefits, there are also many psychological benefits excogitated from physical activity. During exercise the brain releases certain hormones, called endorphins which reduce stress and help improve one’s mood. Also, while working out, the body sinks into a relaxed phase and helps improve attitude because the body is getting stronger and fit.
