Passing Information: Informing others of new sought information is of great importance. Letting others know what you think what effort you take on making information important so they can pay attention. Never doubt to pass on the good news, good news is always lively and should be passed on. When giving or receiving feedback, make sure has to reasons for those feedbacks. Page 1 The following essay is an overview of a role play featuring myself as a counsellor and a class mate as my client. The purpose of this role play is to demonstrate counselling skills that I have obtained from both modules counselling one and two. My partner was advised to discuss a real issue so as I was able to apply the skills in witch I have learnt. The discussion took just over twenty minutes and feedback was offered by other counselling student’s whom were present on the day. Language Style Matching Synthia No COM 200: Communication Professor Reginald Doctor June 26, 2012 Language Style Matching Because conversational style is so crucial to every interaction we have as human beings, we often utilize language style matching as a critical piece of the communication puzzle. “You might also use a technique called speech mirroring to help you establish and build rapport with another person. … This technique can help both of you feel more comfortable with each other.” (Sole, 2011, Ch. 7.2). In this paper we will compare results acquired from utilizing the Language Style Matching website and whether they seem accurate, and then review beliefs regarding whether the quality of an interpersonal relationship is truly based on the quantity of a language match.
11 December 2014 Drowning in the Discourse Julie Wildhaber says that “A strong, well-defined voice is the bridge between you and your audience: It helps your readers understand who you are, and it helps you engage them” (Wildhaber). For students in college, their audience will always be their professor. Along with expecting a strong voice, professors expect students, even first year students, to master and employ the many other writing skills that make up academic discourse. Most students tend to prioritize the more technical conventions of writing over the development of a distinguished and personalized voice. The conventions of college writing are very complex and if professors are more helpful and patient with first year students as they learn academic discourse, students will be better prepared for all future academic endeavors and they will have a better opportunity to strengthen and develop their voice.

Implementing a personal development plan When creating a PDP I would speak to my managers and ask them for their support in identifying where I could take the qualification and help me to ask for colleagues (assessors) to support me in achieving my goal. As I will need to assess our assessors and their learners work to ensure that quality and standards are met. When I have enrolled on the qualification I will have support from my personal tutor who will guide me through each unit and will give me an achievement date that I will need to ensure I work to so that I finish the qualification on time. I will have an assessment plan and reviews with my tutor to see my progress and discuss any issues or difficulties I face.
