Federico Fellini once said “A different language is a different vision of life”. He is talking about that when you speak a different language a whole new different part of life opens up to you and you see from others’ points of view on life. Learning a second language is school is a very important thing to do because it will help you improve your life style and the way you think too. It will help you throughout life by getting better working opportunities, improve your brain ability to stay focused and also to help increase your multicultural awareness skills. Most employers prefer that the person applying for the job is bilingual or even trilingual. Most jobs nowadays are getting more and more customers that are, for example, Spanish speakers, French speakers, and/or even Germen speakers as well. Employers are looking for employees that speak other languages besides English. For example, if two people are applying at McDonald’s at the same time, the employer will favor the bilingual applicant if both have the same skills. The employer picks the bilingual applicant for the position, because he/she can speak more than one language and you have a huge skill to use with non-speaking English customers. The top working industries in the U.S. that are looking for bilingual candidates are: health care services, financial services, social services, public services sales, marketing and tourism as well. Children between the ages 5-12 years of age are more easily to learn a second language because their brains are still developing into an adult brain. So once they learn the language they know the grammar and spelling in a different language, besides their own native tongue. According to the 2007 study by the College Board, they found that students with at least four years of taking a second language class score roughly 140 more points higher in all three sections of the
