Conclusion: Poverty Does Not Fosters Crime Many people believe that poverty is the main cause of crimes in a city or country. They believe that the only thing poor people do is steal, mug, or even assassin to get things instead of working like a normal people do. For example, I have seen very rich people claiming that poor people are a problem to society because they do not give anything good to it; how poor people are thrown away from certain places only because they “scare normal people”, now society excludes them because of fear. We have become so judgmental that when we see a black guy or some other man with not so good clothes or with a not so good appearance (or in any way that poor people look) walking down the street coming right at us, we immediately though that he is going to assault us and maybe kill us; but if we see a man in a business suit, well shaved, with a clean hair cut, and a nice smile we might think it is even a friends of ours that is coming to say hi. There is something society should know, the rate of crimes is increasing in wealthy countries; the man in the suit could have done a scam or he might me a hit man.
This never helps the poor look like normal people because the society starts hating them. There are always stories covered about the poor which sometimes even trick me. (need some evidence...to be researched........) Sometimes the media makes the poor look really good. A great example is Ted Williams who was homeless, a drug addict and an alcoholic but had a
Prejudice can be defined as “a negative attitude toward and entire category of people, often an ethnic or racial minority group”, and this film portrays this very well. The wealthy were prejudiced toward the poor, “slumdogs” and set standards for the poor people. The “slumdogs” had no say in their lives because the wealthy have already decided what they are capable of without giving them many chances. Prejudice from the wealthy is shown clearly in the opinion that someone from the slum could not possibly possess knowledge. The quizmaster – who himself has gone from rags to riches - presents this belief to the audience, and their response shows them to be in agreement with it.
Sharing the role of Robin Hood are the local and state governments, except instead of playing the hero, the governments play a villainous role. Instead of robbing from the rich and giving to the poor, these governments rob from the poor and give to the rich. Right next to the villainous government we find the rich owners and top executives of the valuable sports franchises who benefit from the robbery. These people stand with one hand in the governments’ pocket and the other in the taxpayers’ pocketbooks. They benefit from not only the governments who provide them with the funding to build a new stadium, but also from the taxpayers who attend their events and whose taxes go into the construction costs.
People often do not realize that the act of neglecting, ignoring can also be a part of animal abuse. They also do not realize that animal cruelty is an act of killing ourselves that can be solved by law enforcement, environmental protection, prohibition of animal testing. People are under the obsession that animal testing is one of the safest ways to experiment different chemicals and rationalize themselves from the fact that it’s one of the tragic ways to kill a living creature.
Poverty is a major issue that many people ignore. I have also ignored this issue by turning away from the homeless, when I have witnessed someone begging for money. I have contributed to the problem by ignoring the homeless. Although this is an act of selfishness, it is also evil because I could have easily given my spare change. Except my poor judgment was not to give the homeless change because I was either scared or thought the money would not be put into good use.
For example, Bernard Madoff was a respected financier who “helped” secure people’s money and put in a savings account. But what people didn’t know was that he would commit fraud by taking their money and fooling them it was all still there. He roughly took about $65 billion dollars in total from people. This hurt many people not only financially but emotionally as well. These people felt betrayed by someone who seemed so innocent can do such a crime.
They only care about how to earn things for their own selfish things. There are a lot of types of animal cruelty, like innocent animals that are being used in the circus. These animals should be in their own natural habitat not in the circus getting whipped their butt, jumping in a ring of fire and getting forced to do things they don’t want to. Animals should be treated humanely. We have our own life.
Kleptomania Abstract Kleptomania is a mental disorder under the category of impulse control disorders. People with kleptomania are called kleptomaniacs and they cannot resist the urge to steal. They do not gain anything from the act but the tension that builds inside of them from the urge to steal is released and that is enough. After the kleptomaniac shoplifts he or she often feels embarrassed, anxious, ashamed, and/ or guilty. Kleptomaniacs hoard, give away, dispose of, or return the stolen items because the items have little to no value to the person who stole them.
People have the perception that it would take much more than people doing a few good deeds to suddenly improve the world. It is only because we are so blinded by such things as selfishness, greed, and self-interest that we don’t always remember we are called to be charitable and help those in need. If I was told to participate in this project, I would embrace the
