Personality Change Many may say that personality changes with age, but many also dispute saying that one’s personality is with them for life. It is hard to make an arguable decision because in my perspective it depends on the person and what they do with their life. For example, is someone has grown up in the same town their whole lives, worked at one job and one job only, and was buried next to Ma and Pa, then the personality of that person is likely to stay the same. Now, if the person’s lifestyle is ever-changing and is constantly stressed with new situations, then one’s personality is bound to ride an emotional roller coaster. I was raised to respect elders, wash up before dinner, and do homework before I go to bed. I was the poster child for an all American good kid. Now before you judge me on the spot, let it be known that somehow my personality has changed completely. I am a different person now then I was back in the day. It all started when I got to college and I started going through life on my own. First things first, living alone taught me how to be more confident in myself and how to meet others and get along. I have become mentally stronger, more conscientious of what’s going on in the world around me, and able to be more open with those around me. I have learned that I can be a leader instead of a follower, and I can thank college and boy scouts for helping me with that. The different tasks that they put us through give me opportunities to express myself as a strong individual and show that I’ve got something to put on the table. In my situation right now college is changing my personality slightly, but when I get a family and am out in the real world I think I will change quite
