Chilly days at the park It’s a chilly September day at the park; fall is approaching slowly but surely. In front of where I’m sitting there’s a U shaped pond, which isn’t your average shape. As I’m sitting in the grass the sun peeked out from behind the clouds, the sun proceeded to reflect off the water keeping my eyes focused on the water glistening like diamonds instead of the odd green color and debris of the water. The wind is currently blowing east causing the water to collide against the debris making it come to a quick halt. All around the pond there’s a bundle of tress, at the top they are changing colors but the bottom they are still dark green like seaweed. All around me the flowers gradually dying but the plants are still blooming. A bundle of berries are expanding over the land rapidly they’re red like Rudolph’s’ nose. To my left a little league baseball game is happening, proud mothers cheering, “Run, Steven, run!” And the umpire yelling out “ strike 3! You’re out!” The score was currently 3-1. A little bird then caught my eye, hopping along the grass, for someone reason it looked lost like a little boy in a grocery store who wandered away from his or her mother. The bird stopped and approached the berries that had fallen off the plant, pecking at it. Out of the blue I noticed another little bird in the corner of my eye, approaching the other bird. As the two birds noticed each other they flew away, I believe it’s the birds’ friend it was looking for. I approach the pond hoping to spot some kind of fish, unfortunately people use the pond for a garbage can and it sure did smell like one. Rotten fish and trash filled my nose making me gag like when you brush your tongue, but to my surprise there was a school of minnows. They were the only fish I saw that day but no doubt did it still put a smile on my face like a child on Christmas morning. In the
