Paris, An Affordable Destination

Paris is a cultural, fun and why not? affordable destination Paris is known as one of the most popular and therefore, most expensive destinations for travelers around the globe. Nevertheless, if the traveler is on a limited budget it can be difficult to find accessible options when planning is not done in advance. Many travelers go to Paris in these conditions and usually eat a baguette for every meal and visit the top destinations; for sure they leave happy but broke. In contrast, for those who plan, there are plenty of cheap and even free ways to enjoy the city. Among the most charming features of the city are the sights it offers. For example, the Eiffel Tower -which is impossible to miss for any human being that visits Paris- the problem is though, that it costs more than $200 pesos to go to the top of it; plus the long time you have to wait online and the crowds you have to sort in order to reach the acclaimed view What I learned from my last trip over there was to do as the Parisians do: go in the evening, pack a picnic, and sit on the grass to watch the sunset and admire the tower all lighten up at night. Also, for a great view of Paris, the traveler can just hike up to the top of Montmartre and sit on the Sacred Heart’s Basilica’s steps overlooking the city. Unquestionably , the main asset that Paris possesses is its cultural richness; which is represented by its architecture and wide variety of museums. However, unless the traveler plans on spending most his/her time in museums - which, is practically impossible because there are too many of them- I would recommend to be very selective and go to the Louvre. The hint I got by researching in the internet was to plan my visit on the first Sunday of the month, when the Louvre and all the major museums are free. Moreover, the cheapest and most satisfying way to see the city is on your own.
