Traditional Versus Online Education When choosing to make the choice to return to school, and further your education, it can be a very difficult decision to make; whether the choice is to enroll in an online program or the traditional education style. Students must be very dedicated and make the choise that will best benefit their lifestyle and schedules. While online education uses many of the same components and techniques as traditional education, the online education instructs students better fits the skill sets, interests, and needs; like sitting in the comfort of your home in your pajamas. The day-to-day schedule of online education allows you a large amount of flexibility to complete assignments, reading and studying. Most online programs allows you to turn in any work by the end of the work day which makes it easy to still complete your responsibilities like taking care your children and going to work. With traditional classroom you have to bet a school at a certain time on a certain day. This means that you have a set amount of learning hours a weeks and you also have a set arrival and dismissal time each day. Online learning means that your classroom is basically your home whether it is your bedroom, kitchen or a designated office space. All of you communication with classmates and instructors is done over the computer, e-mails, and telephone. With traditional learning you have to travel to a school and sit in a classroom for hours in front of a board listening to your teacher talk. While you do not really need traditional supplies your main requirements is a computer, printer, and an Internet connection. You also need software like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and any other software programs that your school requires that you have.
