You Decide Implementing a survey of individuals who have taken both Online and Traditional classes would be an appropriate means to determine which is best. Traditional schools receive a stigma or veneration due to student career outcomes and other factors. Online schools are increasingly popular and receive the same types of recognition or disdain. So, the question remains; are traditional schools better than online schools? Let’s weigh the facts. Traditional schools are more expensive and require lots of travel to get to class and other areas of campus. For individuals who are easily distracted, large classrooms with many students would have a negative impact on learning. While online schools allow ease of these commitments, they lack the interpersonal interactions that many students need due to different learning styles. This plays a major role in determining the appropriate school for an individual. Some people learn best by interacting with others through language and face-to-face relations; boosting moral and energy. Others, however, prefer silence and solitude creating the same effect on moral and energy. Personality and preference are major factors in determining which school is better. In other words, both schools produce the same product. But not all students are intellectually compatible. Whether online or traditional, the quality of a school is determined by the outcome of students’ intellectual capabilities and academic performance. Any school that accepts and or produces individuals who perform at a mediocre level will be considered mediocre. Compared to another that admits genius level students; need I say more? In addition to different learning styles there are also different teaching styles; particularly for those of different learning styles.
