We are all faced with one very important question when we make the decision to return to college. Should I attend college online or in the traditional classroom? They both offer an excellent opportunity to obtain your degree. Online learning offers the flexibility that the traditional classroom cannot offer and vice versa. In this paper I will compare and contrast the differences between online learning and traditional classroom learning. I am going to discuss online learning first. Online courses are popular with students that do not have the ability to attend class due to busy schedules. It provides the opportunity to earn a degree even while working and raising a family. Some people claim that online courses make it possible to go back to college even with their demanding lives. The three main points I will discuss is convenience, flexibility, and accessibility. Online learning is convenient. If you are a parent, there is no need to call a babysitter or spend money on gas. You have the option to work on your assignments when you wish without the worries of getting to class at a specific time. It is also convenient if you have a demanding job or a hectic schedule. It gives students the chance to gain knowledge and is suitable for people who simply desire to learn from anywhere at any time. Online courses offer the flexibility to attend class anywhere your computer can go. You are able to access your courses at any time 24 hours a day. As long as you have internet access, you can work on your assignments. There is no need to drive anywhere since everything you need, including your books are online. If you decide to go out of town or on vacation, it is comforting knowing that your course materials are available whenever you choose to access them. I am going to discuss traditional classroom
