Write an essay to be read by a classroom teacher in which you persuade the reader that either traditional classroom education or Internet-based learning is better. With advancements in technology, some students have chosen to complete their schoolwork through the Internet, rather than in traditional classrooms. Those who support a traditional classroom approach to learning argue that it provides more of an opportunity for students to interact with the teacher and other students. Those who feel that learning over the Internet is better argue that it allows students to learn anytime and anywhere they choose. Do you feel
Students taking online classes are free to express their opinion on message thread which allows other students to comment also and keep conversation going. Through distance learning students who are shy and not open to conversation can easily express and help them become more comfortable. “Generally speaking face to face communication with an instructor is minimized or eliminated altogether” (Barszcz 151). Distance learning can go both ways, if a student prefers to attend campus and have face to face contact it’s totally up to them, but for those students who are independent and are working full-time distance learning is the only option for them to advance in their career. For students who are living on their own with expense such as rent and bills, distance learning make their lives easy and can be managed with full-time job.
Ability to reteach material to students until they understand it. Hold a Bachelors in early childhood education and create a warm and loving atmosphere for students. Learning online is different than learning in other context because when it comes to online learning it is flexible and convenient you can attend classes (collaborate sessions) from the your own home whiles being comfortable and complete your essays or assignments at any part of the day. Online studies are great for students who have family commitments or busy work schedules but still want to achieve a degree of some sort. However there are a few cons to studying education online including limited direct contact with fellow students and teachers also there is fewer opportunities for extracurricular activities or to join campus
Like on campus you have the instructor right there in front of you if you have questions to help, basically face to face, hands on work. With online it’s a lot different to me because I would get stuck on what to do and in need of help when it comes to class work and understanding on what to do. The comparison between the two online and on ground campus is that you get the same subject, and the same level of learning. Also most of the time some of the assignments are the same as well, for example you get your education from the text book, computers and many other are the same for online and ground campus. The work is like due at certain time as well too.
This is fun for the students to do, and they can post short stories, poems, class homework, and many personally created activities. The internet can also give teachers a chance to post websites that will give students their grades, homework, study guides, and necessary information for the particular class. Smart boards are also very useful tools which give the teacher multiple ways to share their information. They are great for demonstrations, can accommodate different learning styles, and gives internet uses if computers are limited. Although the expand of technology in the past couple years is very beneficial and time saving, there are also some concerns I have about the growth.
Unlike with traditional classes where you can meet people and form study groups for the class. Also when doing group projects it is a lot easier to be able to meet and work with them without having to worry if your group members will log into class and participate. Online classes can save you money because you do not need to buy school supplies. You only need is a laptop. In traditional classes you need books, traditional supplies, and any additional supplies the class requests.
Informative videos and study aids are also available at the touch of a finger for students who struggle in certain subject. Overall, students participating in these forms of study outperform students using only conventional textbooks. Additionally, ipads cut down greatly on time wasted within the classroom. Instead of transcribing every miniscule note the teacher makes onto paper, students can have the option to take pictures of important charts and documents, or to even video a lecture for later reference. The opportunities are endless within the classroom with the addition of an ipad, and I would love to reap the benefit.
How does a student decide whether to go to college online or to attend at a traditional campus? That depends on the preferences and needs of the individual student. Some students, because of other obligations, may need the flexibility they can only find with an online education. An online course allows students to work on their courses at the time and place of their choosing. Working
Module 1 - Introduction to Clinical Skills Assessment Welcome to Clinical Skills Assessment. This is a hybrid course. That means that you will do a portion of the course online and a portion of the class onsite at George Brown College in the skills practice lab. For some of you online learning may be fairly new; and for others you may be very familiar with this method of learning. Regardless of your experience with online learning, the hope is that you will find this mode of learning engaging and informative.
Students have to consider the pros and cons of each and decide which school setting is best for them. Whether pursuing an online or traditional education, students can be sure they are receiving the same education. Online schooling is when a student sits in front of a computer and is taught through internet interaction. The interaction is made through an online thread where students can ask questions to the professor and have conversations with other students. There are also some online schools that have lectures given by the Professors through live videos.
