If I would invest the time needed to organize I would have received a better grade. English has never been my forte in high school; I failed one whole semester because I was infected with senioritis. My mentality was that I didn’t HAVE to do anything because graduation was just around the corner, but boy was I wrong. This set of mentality pushed me back in my senior year and it prohibited me from enjoying my last year as my friends were living it up at all the parties while I was home finishing up my online class as a result of my failure. Online classes required self determination and a lot time.
The whole speech was basically about her life so she is the best credible source for that speech. She connected with the audience almost immediately by confirming that she was once in college and knows how it feels and what we are going through. She had no visual aids to support her materials it was just her. She talked about the stress she went through in college due to work, activities and so on. I believe many students in the audience could relate to that and by creating that link she won the audience trust and heart.
I think you are all forgetting this is Flagler College. Not Harvard or Yale so the girl with the grammatical concerns please sit your ass down. Furthermore this school is very small and for some that is a negative. Why is it that campus is vacant on the weekends? O yes because you all go to other schools because clearly no one can throw a decent party on this campus.
College Decisions For a graduating senior in high school, the most important decision they have to make is about which college to spend the next four, or maybe more years of their life attending. I know that when I was trying to make by college decision I had to research, visit, and compare and contrast all the schools that I liked. It came down to two very excellent, but very different schools. I fell in love with, and got accepted to Saint Leo University, and Boston College. My deciding factors on which school was better for me to attend included location, class size, and price.
All the people that participated in and enjoyed Gatsby's parties did not even show up for his funeral. He didn’t have real friends, just nick. And without friends and loved ones you can’t achieve happiness you are completely alone and lonely. And that’s how Gatsby felt, proving that wealth do not bring happiness. Gatsby’s wealth failed to provide him with the things he wanted most: Daisy, social acceptance, and friendship.
The college experience is a transition from youth to adulthood. It presents challenges but then yet many opportunities. You will hear many stories from different people who are currently in college or who have already completed the college experience. There will be people with nothing but positive things to say and others that will just simply be pessimistic regarding the college experience. The social atmosphere that goes through college is slightly different from anything else going around in your world.
Carla Wright My Return to School English Composition 1 Denya Cuiffo October 14, 2013 When we attend college as adults, we have expectations of what college will be or will not be. I decided to go back to school for quite a few reasons. The main factors for my returning to school includes my family and stability also plays big role in my returning to school. My reasons for going back to school is to gain communication skills, become a good role model for my children, if I decide to have any, gain independence and seek profitable employment that would be profitable for me. My father has always been my support system in my return to school.
The first and second semesters went really well. That was like the spring and fall of two thousand and twelve. So the spring semester of two thousand thirteen went really bad for me. There was a problem with the communication between the two schools and I was not considered enrolled in the dual enrollment program at all. My host school, which was Fayetteville State University, did not grant me the funds to pay for my classes at Lenoir Community College.
Though it was overwhelming, when classes started I had a chance to make actual connections with people and make new friends. Shockingly, some of the best friends I have made in college aren’t even in my classes, but are people who live on my floor and have similar interests, hobbies, and morals as me. Comparing now the friends I have made in high school to the friends I have made in college, I could and would leave many of my high school friends behind. The friends I have made in college support me and have changed me for the better. High school is, and always will
