Title of Project To identify the documents used and the importance of each in the Sales and Marketing Department of Banks DIH Ltd. Aims of Project 1. To enhance my knowledge of the documents used in the Sales and Marketing Department of Banks DIH. 2. To determine how each document contributes to the efficient running of this department. Functions of the Sales and Marketing Department Sales Department:- 1. Monitoring sales records i.e. updating sales statistics. 2. Dealing with customers by attending to queries advising customers about repairs and service of equipment purchased. Marketing Department:- 1. Promoting of goods or services provided by the marketing office i.e. involving in activities that will inform the public. 2. Preparing a marketing budget i.e. making estimates of the amount of capital needed for project expenses. Methodology In order to obtain information the researcher used the following data collection methods: * Interview * Observation The interview method was used because it is a formal way of soliciting data when compared to the telephone method and it is a faster way of clarifying information over questionnaires. Interviews enabled the researcher to gain first hand experiences of how documents are being prepared. It allowed the researcher to see the reaction of personnel when asking questions also the researcher was able to see the personnel carrying out what was expected of her. Observation-this data collecting instrument was used above the telephone method because it enabled the researcher to observe the personnel in their natural working habitat; and preferred above the questionnaire because the observation allowed the researcher to see the gestures of the personnel when questions were asked .Observation allowed the
