My aim in this report is to compare and contrast my experience of my chosen activity with that of a friend. By doing this we will more clearly understand how activity and occupation are different from each other, but how both are equally important. In order to do this I interviewed a classmate who shared an equal interest with me in the occupation of cooking. Finally, I will show the differences by using subjectivity and context to explain our individual experiences in our chosen occupation. I will provide a conclusion to summarise my findings. I will provide a list of all references used in my task. Cooking: An Activity or an Occupation? According to Pierce 2001, occupation and activity need to be separated into individual concepts.
