Teenagers are often exposed to all sorts of health problems. One of them is called as obesity. Obesity is very dangerous to health. Nowadays, there are a lot of causes that lead to obesity problem among teenagers as they lack of physical health, lead unhealthy lifestyle and also have uncontrolled food intake. These will give bad effects for those who face this problem. One cause for this problem is teenagers do not know to take care of their physical health. According to Heikki (2010), regular physical activity and fitness decreases the risk of obesity. However, teenagers show a very bad attitude as they are lazy to exercises. Moreover, when they seeing no changes in their body, they easily give up. Actually, teenagers do not have knowledge about proper technique exercises. Teens only do exercises without having proper guidelines which produce better outcomes. On the other hand, teenagers cannot afford a gym membership. As we know, fee for gym membership is very expensive as they need to hire a personal trainer to guide their activities. This may be the reason why they will not do exercise (Waehner, 2010). Another cause that leads to obesity problem is unhealthy lifestyle among teenagers (Bagchi & Preuss, 2007). Nowadays, teenagers have problem about on how to manage their time. It will cause stress if they do not know how to manage time concisely. For example, teenagers are rushing to meet deadlines when submit their assignment. Moreover, stress can cause insulin resistance-related excess weight and obesity (“Excess Weight Obesity,” n.d). They tend to eat comfort foods to get rid of stress (Lee, n.d). Teens love to eat junk food rather than healthy food when they are in stress situation. As for them, junk food can make them feel happy again for example chocolate.
