I even cheer them on when they struggle with a task. To develop a sense of independence and pride, I let the children each day choose the classroom helpers. There are many tasks that the children are able to choose from. I structure the environment to offer opportunities for children to share information about themselves, their families, and experiences. I make it easier for the children to explore new experiences and the environments by making them feel assured of the support and availability of me, thus increasing his confidence.
ESE 315 WEEK 5 JOURNAL POSITION STATEMENT ESE 315 Week 5 Journal Position Statement, As I read the statement in “Early Childhood Inclusion: A Summary”, I came up with the conclusion of what the creation of a sense of belonging and membership, positive relationships and reaching full potential means when working with all young children and families. First, I would make sure that my classroom environment accommodates all my students and the parents feel comfortable with their child in the environment also. Throughout my teaching career and working with all children and families I have discovered that the best therapy a child can have is from their peers, therefore making the classroom environment as confident and warm as possible has always been a key and success for me. I have always had a classroom where all kids were included and this made all my students more peaceful and kind to one another and vey proud in their work and others as well. Since, I have been thinking of different ways of creating environments, seeing children’s strengths, abilities, and communicating with families during this class, I am going to briefly discuss two things I plan to implant in my professional experience.

Year-Round Schooling Summer break is great. We all think so. But when you walk into Algebra 1 your first day back at school and the teacher says, “Pop quiz! Lets see what you know!” And that’s the moment when you realize that you don’t remember anything from the previous year. Year-round schooling is a better system than traditional because it’s better for students learning, it keeps kids involved and engaged, and, as much as this might surprise you, it doesn’t mean less vacation time.
The “big brother” of JROTC offers college scholarships to those who qualify. Membership in JROTC is a perfect start for this. As a member of JROTC one can expect to gain a great deal of self confidence that will become a building block for future accomplishments throughout their life. The programming is geared to build a team of students that work together to overcome difficult challenges and by doing so build their individual confidence as well as team confidence to face any challenge. Camaraderie is further enhanced throughout the program as students wear uniforms at least once a week to display their unit pride.
Some schools’ mission statement is the modern equivalent to a motto. “Although our pupils achieve well, we are interested in more than just results. We aim to provide an inspiring, stimulating and enjoyable education for all our pupils, introducing them to a wealth of exciting experiences across the whole curriculum.” How is this reflected? : The pupils’ achievements not only academic but also sporting, artistic, performing and behaviour, both in and out of school are recognised. There is a positive culture of learning and development that is celebrated by merits, certificates, displays and praise from teaching staff.
There are positive and negative effects of young athletes based on their parents involvement. Motivating a young athlete helps them perform better in school and on the field. Children need to know that their parents are there for them. Teachers, counsellors, and coaches are there to motivate kids but their parents should be their big motivator because kids like looking up to someone as a role model and it should be the person who is in charge of the household. Showing commitment to a child by coming to every game they have helps them to feel happy and want to be committed following their dreams of being a part of a sport they would like doing.
Kweonmin Yi, who graduated from Cedar Park Christian High School as an international student in 2009, is an example of an immigrant who found greater social connection in America through after-school programs. When he was going to school in the United States, Cedar Park Christian High School, he participated in some after-school activities such as varsity track, varsity soccer, and brass band. When he came to the United States for the very first time, he was quite reticent because his English was not enough to keep up a conversation; however, after he joined the after-school activities, his English increased by making American friends through these activities. There are numerous facts and findings on how school uniforms positively and completely enrich students’ school experience. School uniforms should be mandated in the United States from kindergarten to twelfth grade allowing our children to focus on their education and not their social environment. Uniforms are just one avenue we can take to attempt to improve our schools and raise student achievement. “According to the School Administrator publication, along with school reported statistics, the mandate of uniforms on campuses has reduced tardiness, skipped classes, suspensions, and discipline referrals” (Chen 1). All of these findings are extremely conductive of how mandating school uniforms would greatly improve our student’s ability to improve their school experience.
Barack Obama - “Yes We Can” Barack Obama’s ‘Yes We Can’ speech presented in Nashua, New Hampshire on the 8th of January 2008 is a defining moment in his career due to it’s implications to Obama’s presidential campaign. The speech was presented in Nashua South High School Gym on the night of the New Hampshire primary, where Obama lost marginally to Hilary Clinton. The audience of the speech is the people in the high school gym, but the target audience is the whole of America, as the speech was televised and available to Americans. In this speech, he aims to persuade the people of America that their quality of life can be improved. Barack Obama portrays this by using various persuasive techniques to interest his audience and his famous quote, “Yes We Can.” He uses the unity words “We” and “You” repeatedly throughout the speech.
