Art is when you express what you feel and what you think inside through paintings, colors, and images. Art is when you create and innovate things to become useful and productive. It helps us to be open-minded, to be enthusiastic and to be compassionate to everything we do. I can say nursing is also an art. An art that cares. Nursing as an art is the art of caring. Caring individuals whether they are sick or well. It is an art that will bring wellness to the person’s physical, physiological, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects with the aid of the different interventions that nurses do to promote and restore health. The Origami also has relation to “Nursing as an Art”. Origami is the art of following specific steps for folding paper into recognizable designs or forms. We must be accurate, careful, and perfect, if possible, in making origami. Like in nursing, we must be precise in our data, we must be cautious in giving medications, and must be perfect; if possible, in giving care to our patients to avoid further injuries, illnesses or the worst is death. We follow specific procedures and directions in a step-by-step process. As we fold further the paper, the more it becomes recognizable and clearer to what does it really looks like. If we apply that in nursing, I can say that each fold we make represents the care that we give to our patients, we must do it correctly and properly so that the restoration and promotion of health will be
