*A nurse makes a yearly salary of $64,250 a year and a chef makes a yearly salary of $46,380. • Which person above do you think will have more money in life and why? I think that the person who will have more money in life would be the nurse. The nurse's salary is about $20,000 more than the chef's. One may think that the chef would have more money because they make their own food for a living and wouldn't have to pay for food. However, that money meant to buy the food is still coming out of the chef's pocket. Anything the chef cooks from his restaurant's kitchen is being paid by the chef, and for the chef to make money, he or she has to spend money for the food. During a job of a nurse, the nurse would be constantly on the job, barely spending any money except for the usual needed expenses like food and gas. A nurse would be working daily and wouldn't need to spend any of their money to do their job. Therefore, a nurse would potentially make more money and have more money in life. • Which one you think will be happier and why? Although the nurse would have more money in life, I think the chef will be happier. A nurse would be constantly on the go and on the job. I think that the nurse will be very stressed throughout her career since he or she would have different work shifts which are often very long. The nurse would barely have any time for him or herself, while the chef is cooking food on a shift that is definitely shorter than the nurse's. And, the chef can have flexible hours, while the nurse has a set time to report to. Also, the chef is constantly around food; who wouldn't be happy around food????? • What is the monthly gross and monthly net pay for each person?
