Never Give Up

We all know about Thomas Edison. He is the fourth prolific inventor in history. But have you ever heard that his teachers ever said he was "too stupid to learn anything" He was fired from his first two jobs for being "non-productive" As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps." Yes, Edison didn’t fail. The only real failure in life is to give up and quit and the biggest failure of all is never to have even tried. As a student, you might start your study in earnest with loads of excitement and hope, But As soon as things start to go wrong, you might panic and let go. As soon as encounter an obstacle, you convince yourself that the task is impossible and it is easier to give up. All the desire, the enthusiasm and the excitement are gone when you encounter obstacles. Let this not happen to you. Remember that the road to success is paved with obstacles and failures. Smooth seas never make a good sailor. Only the rough seas, gigantic waves and gusty winds make mighty sailors of ordinary people. Obstacles come to help you, to make you wise, to propel you in your quest for success. A strong desire can give you the initial push but persistence is what will keep you going. No matter how many times you fall, no matter how many times you fail; just get up and move on. Do not give up. Try harder, try once more. Let the people you love and who mean the world to you be your inspiration to persist and persevere. May be you need to try a different angle, study more or practice more but don’t give up.
