They watch educational shows like Sesame Street, Beakman’s World, etc. Shows like these have great educational tools that they teach kids so they can grow up with knowing what’s wrong and what’s right. But if a kid is left alone or unsupervised they could watch shows that encourage them to act differently than usual.

Pros and Cons on Carnage as Entertainment There's been talk of the benefits and dangers of children watching television virtually since the medium's beginnings in the late 1940s. Parents wishing to allow their children to enjoy television's virtually limitless power to educate and entertain just as often find themselves taken aback by mature themes and subject matter. For decades, public television and certain child-friendly cable networks offered safe harbor from conventional television programming, though in recent years the educational value of some of its programming has fallen under criticism, too. The accusations stem from a belief that so-called educational programming has compromised its standards for the sake of competing with mainstream television entertainment. They are popular and are being advertised everywhere, making teenagers willing to play them; the fact that are they marked by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) does not help much.
Watching TV is fun and education for children, but in my opinion, screen time should be limited to no more than one hour a day while in child care and early education settings. The main reasons of this are because too much screen time can increase the risk of becoming overweight, lead to troubles in falling asleep, as well as result in some emotional, social and attention problems. Firstly, the more TV children watch, the greater his or her risk is of becoming overweight. For instance, kids often snack on junk food while watching TV. Therefore, they can develop an appetite for unhealthy food.
Violence on T.V is a major factor that influences most children. The saying: “Monkey see, monkey do” has become a well-known saying around the world, but is it true? Violent programs and images on television, also in the movies, have motivated people to set their children on fire, do dangerous stunts, murder, steal, rape, and a lot of other stuff. It’s proven that media violence can have harmful affects on children. It increases their aggressiveness and behavior; moreover, it makes them want to see more violence in T.V and in real life.
