Sarah then wished for her baby brother to be whisked away by the goblins to the far-away Goblin Kingdom. In order for Sarah to rescue Toby, she had to go through an immense and mystifying labyrinth, in less than thirteen hours. Sarah soon found out the labyrinth was trickier, and more complicated than it seemed, because she was unable to find a way inside. The theatrical goblin, Hoggle, who was exterminating fairies outside the labyrinth walls, aids Sarah in finding the entrance to the labyrinth. As Sarah enters the labyrinth, she does not realize how much of a psychological struggle this maze will be.
There she meets the prince and he does not let her go until she sneaks away. For the next two days Ashputtle does the same thing but each time the dresses get more beautiful. On the third day as she sneaks away, her slipper falls of. Then the prince announces that he will find his mystery maiden. Eventually he gets to Ashputtle’s house.
Alex then reveals she's in love with Dean, so is transformed back. Dean is back and starts calling Alex his girlfriend. Tired of lying to her best friend, she reveals magic to Harper by taking her into space on her birthday. Dean moves away, but Alex tries to continue dating him in his dreams with the use of magic. When he comes to see her, they go out on a date but she realizes they've drifted apart and aren't the same so breaks up with him, who has no reaction.
In this story Panttaja says it is both mothers that are wicked. Panttaja states the real mother “plots and schemes, and she wins” (Panttaja 660) when it comes to fulfilling the wishes of Ashputtle. But actually the two mothers have the same goal in mind; to have their daughters married off and have a joyful life. To be able to do this, the real mother puts a charm on the prince to make him fall in love with Ashputtle instead of anyone else. The prince did not dance with anyone else all night and would always say “she is my partner” (Grimm 630).
In Chapter 2, when George notices her standing in the doorway of the bunkhouse she has "rouged lips" with red fingernails and red shoes with "red ostrich feathers." She leans against the doorway "so that her body was thrown forward" and smiles "archly and twitched her body." Her pretext of looking for Curley is false; Slim tells her that he has seen her husband going toward their house. After she leaves, Lennie remarks, "She's purty," and George scolds,"Listen to me,....Don't you even take a look at that bitch. I don't care what she says and what she does.
Near the beginning of the film where she is just a naïve child who is in fear of Boo, she has heard that he is a ‘A malevolent phantom’ who is ‘chained to the bed’ as well as many other nasty rumours about him. Scout, Dil and Jem often run past his house to tease him. But when gifts start appearing for Boo Scout starts to stop believing that he is a horrible monster but just a nice man. Her most important experience that leads her to an understanding about prejudice and the world was her ‘longest night’ which began as they left the school hall to go home with Scout still in her ham suit. They began to sense that someone was following them.
Pan’s Labyrinth Essay #1 The film seen on Wednesday January 20th was Pan’s Labyrinth. This movie is about a young girl, Ofelia, who is in the setting of wartime in Spain. As her past time, she reads lots of fairy tale stories and soon enough due to her insecurities in this new environment with a new father and new stresses, she creates a fantasy world to feel better and survive the harsh reality. In this world, she meets a faun who gives her three tasks to complete in order to reach immortality and become a princess. Soon enough at the end of the story, the girl is killed by her new father, or the Captain of the army, for taking away his son.
The paper bag princess chose the opposite way with most of classic fairy tale such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow-White and the Seven Dwarfs. The book breaks the stereotypical idea of princess fairy tales. At the start of 'The Paper Bag Princess', Elizabeth appears to be a common fairy tale princess. She lives in a castle, wears expensive and beautiful princess dresses and is going to marry a charming prince named Ronald. However, everything changes when a dragon arrives and smashes Elizabeth's castle, burns everything the princess owns, including her clothes, and takes Prince Ronald.
Gatsby tries to set up a neutral meeting spot at Nicks house on purpose. Nick then leaves Gatsby and Daisy alone and when he returns back into the room, Daisy is crying, guessing its tears of happiness, due to the fact that Gatsby and Daisy are in a relationship from that point on out. Also, Daisy coming from old money, just the way of her life. She can't help that! Gatsby changes all that by showing her in chapters 5 & 6 all of his fancy clothing and around his luxurious household.

They move there because Pauls dad got transferredand we meet Keller at Paul’s first piano lesson, he is strange, rude and mysterious. - Paul likes a girl from school named Megan. He asks her to the movies but she says no then Paul has dreams about Megan,and tells her this and she replies with “You can have me in your dreams anytime, but that is the only place”. Paul gets bashed by one of Megan’s boyfriend’s friends.
