Four children, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are sent to live in an old professor’s house because of the war that is taking place where they live back home. When they play hide and seek, Lucy, the youngest one, runs around the house finding a place to hide. While doing that, she finds a wardrobe full of coats in the spare room. As she goes deeper in to the wardrobe, she finds a magical that she later finds out is called Narnia. She meets Mr. Tumnus, a faun, who invites her for tea after finding out that she is a ‘daughter of Eve’ or in other words, human. They seem to be having a good time until Mr. Tumnus starts breaking in to tears and confessed that he had planned to report Lucy to the White Witch. When Lucy returns to the real world, no time has passed by at all. Her siblings do not believe her when she tells them about her discovery of Narnia. After a while, Lucy sneaks out at night back to Narnia and goes to Mr. Tumnus’ house. Edmond follows her in to Narnia without her knowing and seems to get lost. When the White Witch finds Edmond, she tempts him with Turkish delight to tell him everything about his family. Edmond also lets it slip about how Mr. Tumnus had befriended Lucy. The White Witch tells Edmond that if he brings all of his siblings to her castle, she will make him king of Narnia, which Edmond agrees to. Later on, Lucy runs in to Edmond and they go back to the professor’s house together. When Lucy tries telling Peter and Susan that Edmond was also there with her at Narnia, he denies which upsets Lucy. She goes crying to the professor and he suggests to Peter and Susan that they should stick together as a family and believe in each other. When the kids get in trouble, they look for a place to hide and all end up sneaking in to the wardrobe unintentionally. As they all go further back in to the cupboards, they all end up in Narnia.
