All individuals have the right to communicate through their chosen method and their choice should be acknowledged and respected when supporting them. Communication is a basic human right, without communication an individual is unable to realise or exercise their rights. 1.2 Ways in which my own role and practice can impact on communication with an individual who has specific communication needs would be to speak directly to the individual and not from across a room. By speaking to the individual face to face, communication can be absorbed better. It is also important that I speak slowly and clearly, using terminology that is at a level the individual can understand.
People also tell me that I have a mental problem and that could be one of the reason I can’t get a job. I have mix emotions I can get real mad and stressed out that I will think of bad things to do to myself just to release the stress. I know it’s not good but anger problems runs in my family but I try to control it sometimes it work and other times it don’t. I am drug free I don’t even be around it any more. I am struggling trying to take care of my family without losing my family.
This combined with the rapid recitation of the dialogue creates confusion and estranges the audience as it is too fast for them to process and comprehend, which forces them to sit through a speech in which they have no understanding of what is being said, nor what is going on. This alludes to the idea that just as the audience is alienated to certain parts of the play, for instance Lucky’s speech, the characters are alienated by God. This is possibly depicted in the wasteland or limbo backdrop that Beckett used to set the scene. This could underline the fact that there is no green world for the characters in Godot- “nothing to be done”. This might be as a direct result of the post war feeling that God does not exist.
What is “Glossophobia?” According to dictionary it is the fear of public speaking. Public speaking is a common fear that plagues most, some cases more severe than others. However, you never really know how serious the issue is until it is time to get up and deliver that speech to the crowd. Bruna Martinuzzi’s article “11 Easy Ways to Finally Overcome Your Fear of Public Speaking” attempts to eradicate the source of tension caused by the fear of addressing a crowd, while Nick Morgan’s, “Bad Rules Never Seem to Die: the Five Worst Rules of Public Speaking” dispels the typical remedies and advice for uneasiness. Through rhetorical strategies such as the use of common ground, credible support, and structure Martinuzzi approaches the topic with the intention to aid the fear-stricken while Morgan utilizes bias and tone to tell his audience why all other information on the subject is invalid.

When carrying out group hypnosis, it is almost impossible to use personalised inductions. This is because each person in the group will have different preferences, values and beliefs and personalising the induction to only one person would be a disadvantage to each other person. This is also the case for inductions which are used in hypnosis CDs and DVDs. This material is widely used by the public who have not had an initial consultation with a hypnotherapist and so the hypnotherapist has no choice but to present a general induction as they have no chance to make a decision about their market. It is believed that the authoritarian technique is difficult to be used in group hypnotherapy sessions (Hadley and Straudacher, 1996), as well as permissive screeds.
My life would be completely different from how it is now. This disease would affect all aspects of my life including personal, social, vocational and family life. People with Alzheimer's disease often have to deal with fatigue and losing the ability to do many of the things that they're used to doing themselves on a daily basis. My personal life would be affected because eventually I would need help doing normal everyday tasks from showering to eating and there basically would be no personal life, I would always need someone around me to help. Socially it would definitely affect friendships because I would forget the people from my life before the disease and be left basically for my family to “deal with” and there would be no social life.
Although it may be true that some people may contribute to their own demise, there are still a record number of people who legitimately need help. This is an emotional issue for millions of people, and it is terrible to see anyone on the street for any reason however, it is my belief that the government will come up with a plan to bring this terrible problem under control. The human service professional has to educate themselves and learn to connect with people that are put in these situations, it is not easy to motivate someone who just lost
