Joseph Reyes 2/11/09 English 101 Prof. Perkins Working while in College Attending college can be a rigorous process for a lot of people. Some might even consider college to be a job within itself. To some simply attending college though, is not good enough. You work hard to acquire good grades, and stress yourself while studying. You get an idea of time management because of the consequences you face for being tardy to class and knowing that being late several times could be considered an absence and affect your final grade.
Try different calendaring systems and see which one is best. Always plan ahead on assignments and studies because then we will end up procrastinating and the results will not be good. Have some time for yourself to relax and go out with friends because college can be very exhausting and having some time for our mind to relax will be important. Once good time management skills are perfected college will not be so hard to complete. Calvo 2 Having good study skills is also very important to be a successful college student.
That way I will able to discover the identity that has been overshadow by the cloud of anxiety. Besides being scared about the transition to college, the fact I am left independent makes me more nervous than ever. Instead of teachers providing you with the necessary tools and resources, it is up to me to find them. It feels more like a never ending scavenger hunt than an easy walk through. Ways to overcome this would be to have an organizer/planner so I can purchase and get the needed materials for the classes I am taking this semester.

I did not want this to hinder my dream of going to university and following the career path that I have wanted for so long. I was determined to find a solution that suited my life and everyone in it, even though the odds were heavily stacked against me, and it seemed home study was the best option for me. After much research I came across the Distance Learning Centre (DLC). RISKS OF STUDENT LOANS The issue that I am researching is the negative risks of student loans and how it is not worth the risk. The negative risks of student loans are damaging their credit scores when not able to pay loans on time. Another negative risk is students who struggle to pay their loan making it harder for them to save up for retirement. With so many students facing debt because of student loans it also serves as a threat to the economy. Along with negative risks their also positive risks such as student loans helping in assisting students when furthering their education.
The only thing stopping you is yourself. I want to be an example for my brothers, so they will see how important a college education is. As you sit back and take a look at the world today everything is mostly about technology so you know what that means you have to have more knowledge then just a high school diploma. I needed to put away childish things and behaviors and act more responsibly. There are many advantages and disadvantages of furthering your education as an adult. The advantage that comes to light for me is during my life I have gained knowledge and wisdom from past experiences that will aid me in my college courses and assignments. On the other hand, the major disadvantage is juggling school and work. Another reason why I choose to return to school is because it would make me the first member of my family to obtain a college degree.
During college and universities, students have opted the subject that they would like to take in their career. Colleges and universities should teach students the necessary skills needed and ensure that they have recieved a strong foundation for career. For instance, learning statistics is really key if one chose to be an economist or an accountant. If this subject is non covered in depth, i am afraid that the students will not perform well in their career. College and universities should also impersonate emphasis on applying this skills in daily workforce.
