Arlissa Henderson English 101 Travis Turner 1 February 2014 My Trip to the Beach My first trip to the Myrtle Beach,SC was wonderful. Myrtle Beach is a coastal city on the east coast of the United States. Myrtle Beach is also one of the best family vacation destination on the east coast. It took us nine hours and forty-nine minutes plus all the times we stopped for gas and food. We drove the entire six hundred miles to Myrtle Beach. There was many attractions at Myrtle Beach, such as Myrtle Waves, Family Kingdom Amusement Park and Broadway at the Beach. Me and my family stayed at the Dayton House Beachfront Hotel. Soon as we arrived, we could smell the saltwater coming from the beach.We also could smell the aroma of different foods and heard many noises. On our first day there we mostly stayed on the beach and enjoy the sand, water, and sun. As we walked to the beach we could feel the warm sand flowing through our toes. It was very sunny and the wind was just right. The water was a blueish greenish color and was very warm. The beach was very nice and clean, there was no trash at all. The next day, me and family we visited Broadway at the Beach. Broadway at the Beach is a collection of entertainment, dining, and amusements activities. Broadway at the Beach is home to many attractions such as the Carousel Park, NASCAR Speedpark, and Ripley’s Aquarium. When we first entered Broadway at the Beach there was many lights flashing and music playing. There was also the sound of laughing and screaming. The Ripley’s Aquarium was most interesting to me. There were plenty of fishes and sharks in the crystal blue waters. We saw many different fishes of all different colors. The smell of the aquarium was kind of salty. This aquarium had many different sections. The Rio Amazon section consisted of piranhas, stingrays, poison dart frogs, and Arapaimas. The Dangerous
