I think she wrote this book to connect to younger readers, and maybe see if they can connect with the same problems that the girls in the story were going through. The title “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” is perfect. This book is about best friends that have a sister like relationship, having to spread apart and find themselves. For the first time they don’t have one another by there side. So they send each other the same pair of pants every two weeks to stay closer together.

When my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer my senior year, it was really hard on me. Dariela Flores Paper 3 P.O.V. “The Bride,” written by Christine Granados, is a story about a Hispanic teenager whose dream wedding was interrupted by teen pregnancy. Since Rochelle was a little girl she was obsessed with having an extravagant “white wedding.” Throughout the story the younger sister Lily tries to snap Rochelle back to reality and get her to appreciate her Mexican culture. Rochelle gets married while she’s four months pregnant and although things didn’t go as she planned she was content with how she ended up. Granados implies that life won’t always go as you planned.
Being the oldest, Negi was frequently called upon to watch the children and take responsibility for them. Negi goes to spend time with her grandmother, whom she didn’t know well. While with her grandmother, Negi learned to crochet, and she is also taken to church for the first time. She was glad to go home with her mother because she became homesick. After nights of discussion we chose adoption. A few months after the paperwork was done we were introduced to Ruthie, the birth mom who had chosen our family to adopt her unborn baby. When Kassie was born there was a great feeling of joy felt by all, including the birth mom, because in was not goodbye. Kassie is almost three and we still keep in touch with her birth mom. Kassie’s birth mom has got to go on with her life, thankfully it had not been filled with the sadness of an abortion.
Acts of kindness should be done without requiring or intending anything in return. A young woman had be dating a young man for about four years. Their relationship started through a friendship and their friendship had started through an act of kindness. This particular young lady came from a hard life. She lived in a home where her father was an alcoholic and very abusive and her mother was never able to be home due to having to work three jobs to keep her family with food on the table.
